DRAW FORMAT — SIGNED SHIRT

Signed shirt raffles — turn one donation into thousands

A signed shirt is the highest value-per-ticket prize a club can offer. One donated shirt from your sponsorship deal becomes a £2,000–£10,000 fundraiser. Perfect for football, rugby, cricket and ice hockey clubs.

How it works

Four steps to live

1

Source one signed shirt

Your current team shirt, signed by the squad. Usually free — clubs build it into sponsorship deals. One shirt is enough.

2

Set the ticket price and deadline

£2–£10 per ticket. 4–8 weeks of sales. Robin builds the raffle page with high-quality shirt photos in 10 minutes.

3

Promote heavily through the campaign

Matchday programme. Half-time PA. Player social videos. Email and SMS to your supporter list. Local press.

4

Draw and ship the shirt

Random draw at the deadline. Winner paid the prize? No — winner gets the shirt. Your share lands in your bank.

FAQ

Common questions

How do we get a signed shirt to raffle?
Most clubs build it into their kit sponsorship deal — a few signed shirts a season at no cost. Or ask politely at the end of the season when retiring players are clearing out their kit. You only need one.
Do we need a licence to raffle a shirt?
Depends on size. Smaller signed shirt raffles often run as free prize draws (with a free-entry route) or as incidental non-commercial lotteries at a specific event. Larger raffles typically need a Small Society Lottery registration with your local council. Robin will check.
How long should we run a signed shirt raffle for?
4–8 weeks is the sweet spot. Too short and you miss potential ticket buyers; too long and momentum stalls. Most sales come in the final 10 days regardless of campaign length.
Should we use a current shirt or a match-worn one?
Match-worn shirts (with proof of wear) raise significantly more — supporters value the story and provenance. A signed retail shirt still works, just at a lower price point.
How do we handle shipping to the winner?
Robin captures the winner’s address automatically. You ship via Royal Mail tracked. Winners are notified by email and SMS the moment the draw closes.
Can we run more than one signed shirt raffle per season?
Yes — many clubs run one in pre-season and one at the end of the season. Spaced 6+ months apart so the formats don’t cannibalise.
What other signed items work besides shirts?
Signed footballs, boots, photos, programmes and trophies all work. Match-worn boots from a popular player can outraise a standard signed shirt.
What does it cost?
Our standard fee is 15%, only when you raise. No setup, no subscriptions.
