FAQ

Common questions

When should we open ticket sales?
6–10 weeks before the draw date. Long enough to build momentum across the run-in, short enough to keep urgency. Most clubs find sales accelerate sharply in the final fortnight.
Do we need a licence?
Most end-of-season raffles run as Small Society Lotteries, registered with your local council (£40 fee, ~3 weeks). Smaller draws may qualify as free prize draws or incidental non-commercial lotteries. Robin will check your numbers and recommend the right route.
What prizes work best?
A cash headline plus 3–5 sponsor-donated prizes. Signed kit from a retiring player. A pitchside experience. A weekend away. Variety keeps everyone in. Sponsor prizes mean no cost to your fundraising.
How does an end-of-season draw differ from a match day 50/50?
A match day 50/50 is a single-fixture, fast-moving format with one cash prize. An end-of-season draw is a season-long campaign with multiple prizes drawn at one finale moment. They pair brilliantly — run both, no cannibalisation.
Can we draw at the awards night instead of a fixture?
Absolutely — many clubs do. Awards nights have higher emotional engagement and more uninterrupted attention than half-time at a fixture. Live in-person draw, big-screen reveal, photo moments for the winners.
How do we get sponsors involved?
Each sponsor gets named on the raffle page, in winner emails, in the matchday programme and at the draw event. We supply a sponsor pack — most local businesses donate a £100–£500 prize for the visibility.
What does it cost?
Our standard fee is 15%, only when you raise. No setup, no subscriptions.
When does the money land in our bank?
Direct via Stripe Connect, usually within 2–3 working days of the draw closing. Perfectly timed for planning next season’s budget.
