FAQ

Common questions

Do I need a licence to run a match day 50/50?
It depends on the structure. Many clubs run match day 50/50s as society lotteries under a Small Society Lottery registration with their local council — quick and cheap to obtain. Others run them as free prize draws (with a free-entry route). Robin will help you pick the right route.
Can supporters buy tickets online before the match?
Yes. Most clubs split sales 50/50 between online (pre-match) and in-stadium (on the gate or at the bar). Online sales close at half-time when the draw happens.
How do we sell on the gate?
A QR code at every gate. Supporters scan, pay on their phone in 30 seconds, and they’re entered. No paper tickets, no float, no cash to count.
How is the winner announced?
Big-screen announcement, PA, or both — and the winner gets an email + SMS in real time. The transparency is what makes it work.
What if the winner isn’t at the match?
No problem. They still win — the prize is paid into their bank automatically. Most clubs find about 60–70% of winners are in the ground that day.
What does it cost?
Our standard fee is 15%, only when you raise. No setup, no subscriptions.
Can we run multiple draws per match day?
Yes — many clubs run a programme raffle and a half-time 50/50 side by side. Robin sets them both up.
