Since 2006, Devon Sharks has taken steps wherever possible to establish itself as a sustainable club using whatever resources that were available from the original blue and white kit to the use of pitches all around South and Mid Devon. The club has grown into a club with an ambition to reignite the junior and women programmes from “pitch up and play” events to competing in national competitions. From 2022, the Exeter Ravens project will start, acting as a second team under the Devon Sharks brand based in one of the largest cities in the South West.
Ambition comes at a cost to sponsors and volunteers, as revenue is hard to create when you don’t have your own ground, shop or lottery. Devon Sharks play teams from far West Wales to East London, we are dependent on the use of community resources like minibuses which come at a premium.
The Devon Sharks Draw will allow and enable the club to generate revenue to purchase a minibus to make games more accessible for all the age groups and teams, as well as open up opportunities for purchasing resources to get more people into the game of rugby league across Devon.
